Establishing Awareness Course Testimonials

  • Sasha is clearly not just a teacher but also a practitioner of the virtues he discusses in the classroom. He is both knowledgeable and humble. He leads, but in a way that invites feedback. He lacks pretentiousness and seems acutely aware of the potential dangers of using Buddhist philosophy as a way to bypass uncomfortable experiences or propping oneself up as a guru. He is sincere while maintaining a sense of humor and lightness about the material. He is organized but not rigid; he invites questions. I'd highly recommend him as a teacher.

  • I had such a great time during this course. I was always excited it was Friday night, knowing we would be gathering and practicing. It felt like a rekindling of my love and appreciation of Buddhism and gave me another chance to find a way into meditating. The meditation guidance was given using plain language, and this made it helpful for bringing it into my own practice. My favourite aspect of the course however was the walkthrough of Buddhist philosophies. I felt open to ask any questions without judgement and Sasha was very knowledgable and helpful. In short, it was exactly what I was hoping it would be.
