Private tutoring for whole-child flourishing.

I can help your child answer seven key questions.

As I consider the best approach to teaching your child, my diverse background as a coach, expert, teacher, and facilitator comes into play. I hold a B.Sc. in Physics and Philosophy and an M.A. in Buddhist Studies, which have shaped my holistic view of education. My international experiences, from living in Cambodia, India, Hong Kong, and the USA to guiding trips in Thailand and the Canadian wilderness, have enriched my understanding of different cultures and learning environments.

I'm well-versed in various pedagogies, including Project-Based Learning, Montessori, and the International Baccalaureate's programs. My expertise in science and mathematics spans multiple curricula, ensuring a well-rounded educational experience. Outside the classroom, my passions for yoga, hiking, meditation, and training for an Ironman triathlon reflect my commitment to balance and personal growth. I’ve attended numerous silent meditation retreats around the world and have published articles in both the education space and the realm of Buddhist psychology.

All these elements come together as I focus on creating a nurturing and engaging learning journey for your child. Importantly, beyond helping your child thrive in their homework or prepare for an upcoming standardized test, I can help them answer seven general questions:

  1. How can I make sense of the world?

  2. How can I understand patterns and structures?

  3. How can I find peace in the present moment?

  4. How can I be fluent with information?

  5. How can I accelerate the learning process?

  6. How can I be an analytical thinker?

  7. How can I be healthy?

These questions belong to a respective dimension of learning that I have outlined below in my Learning Catalogue.

Let’s work together.

My Philosopy: The union of rigor and wisdom is essential for holistic education.

  • Wisdom

The faculty of voluntarily bringing back a wandering attention, over and over again, is the very root of judgment, character, and will... An education which should improve this faculty would be the education par excellence.
William James, The Principles of Psychology

The beauty of mathematics and science is avaialble to a mind that is clam, at ease, and deeply curious. Contentment, wellbeing, and safety are a prerequisite to being able to rigorously learn.

  • Rigor

“Education then acquires a new dignitiy, a new authority, because education will then tell society: these are the laws of life. You cannot disregard them.” Maria Montessori, The Absorbant Mind

As far as humanity can tell, the laws of life are written in the language of mathematics and are about scientific principles. How and why do things move? What is everything made of? How do systems interact?
